SCENARIO TRAINING

REALITY BASED TRAINING
FOR REAL LIFE SCENARIOS

Martial arts techniques and combat conditioning are essential in self defence, however, these tools provide only part of the arsenal against real-life attacks. In order to prepare for the psychological and mental aspect of street situations, it is critical to undergo scenario training.

The UCS scenario program offers students the opportunity to develop practical and street effective psychology, conditioning (mental and physical) and techniques (offensive and defensive). The ADA principle forms the basis of the scenario program. All tactical decisions and actions executed in a street scenario revolve around this core concept, therefore we cover its methodology in great detail:

A  ∙∙∙ Awareness, Assessment, Avoidance
∙∙∙ De-escalate (verbally taking control of the situation)
A  ∙∙∙ Attack (preemptive; legally and morally justified)

Deescalation Stance

PROGRAM FEATURES

  • Analysis of the legal and moral ramifications of reality-based self defence, essential to understanding responsibility and the appropriate level of force necessary to defend against an attack.
  • Develop a firm understanding of the motives and triggers of a street attack, as well as the defensive methods used to deal with various forms of attacks.
  • Develop the ability to calmly and quickly react to the spontaneous and unpredictable stress and stimuli associated with real-life scenarios.
  • Enhanced mental conditioning resulting in greater focus, reflexes, confidence, composure, relaxation and intensity.
  • Apply verbal diffusion techniques to effectively de-escalate potentially  dangerous physical scenarios.
  • Spontaneously channel emotional (biological fear) and physical energy into overpowering and explosive offensive techniques.
